Curse this human body!

Mon Oct 25, 2004, 9:29 PM
You know all the sickiness that seems to be going around to everyone latly? Well, it finaly caught up to me around halfway through my last class today, and my nose has been runnin, and me been feeling like crap since then. >.< Figures. I've got a test on Wednsday i've got to study for, too.......
Ok, to distract myself from the pain, I'm gonna enlighten you all with the crazy weekend I just had. Saterday, Me and a big group of friends (including were gonna head up to an anime con in Rosemont (Anime Reactor), but before I go into that, we need to rewind to friday night (or early saterday morning depending on how you look at it). It had to be nearly 1 o'clock as I was just to fall asleep in my bed after tieing up lose ends for saterday, I hear a loud sound I first think sounds like thunder. I was pretty sure it wasn't, after I hear the collective *Bzzzzmf* sound of all the eclectronic defices in my house going off. I spring out of bed after realizing what it most likly was, and looking out my window, i see i was right. Some freakin' drunk dumbass had driven his car off the road and ran it straight into the shared power pole between our and our neighbor's houses. >.< I woke my folks up, and my mom called 911, while my dad went with a flash light to check out the car. As my dad had thought, no one was in the car. He prolly got out after the crash and start walking down the road. Pretty soon, in the pooring rain, tons of cop cars and even the fire department show up in front of our house. Were they promptly shine these big ass lights at our house. >.< After a while, they turned the light off, and we went to bed. This was the worst time for that crap, 'cause not only did I need to wake up early for the con, my folks had to get up even earlier to drive over a couple of states for a medical trip. They were gonna be gone all weekend. Meracilasly (yea, i know it's spelled wrong) we were all able to get up when we needed, and fortunantly, i wasn't tired at all on Saterday.
Wich brings us back to the con. Me and my freinds went to Anime Reactor for the day on saterday, and it was pretty fun. The con was nice, but still pretty new, so there wern't TOO many people there, wich was good. Kinda like when you go to the amusment park when the kids have to go back to school. I spent a tad bit more money than i'd plan to, but i had still not spend to much money, and I'm happy with what I'd had gotten. I wounded up getting A Love Hina Koalla Su figure, A couple of cheap anime tapes, A very awsome set of capcom girls figures, and I supported my fellow artists by picking up some stickers and such trinkets at the artist's ally. After spending most of the day buying cool anime stuff and pointing and yelling "OMG, that's a AWSOME costume!!!" at cosplayers, we caught the masqerade at 6. There were tons of great costumes. One of the highlights was what had to be one of the biggest groups of cosplayers, where this large group dressed as what was prolly the entire cast of Naruto! It was pretty impressive. Oddly enough, after the show, we saw a bunch of new cosplayers we hadn't seen previously, with really kick as costumes. Like that one chick who cos'd Mystique. The comic version ya pervs. And one guy cos'd as a transformer, that ACTUALLY TRANSFORMED! Holy crap! Why wern't these people in the masqerade!? Well, it had gotten late and we all headed back to my place were most crashed for the night since my folks were gone for the weekend anyway. Then we caught read or die on adult Swim. That was definetly interesting. The next day on Sunday we all hung out again, doing stuff like playing games, watching that horrible life action Street Fighter movie wich i'd picked up a few weeks ago for $6 at Best Buy. Then that day ended, and were basicly back here. where i am sick. Blar. My throat hurts. LOZENGE, DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!
Btw, still don't kbnow the details of that jerk who crashed his car. I'll let ya'll know when i get details. Maybe. Later. *collapses on floor*

I'm really saddened to hear the terrible news. I never knew the guy, but from what everyone says he seemed like a truly great person....May he rest in peace.

I am completely shocked at seeing this note posted in one of my friend's comments. It still gets me how a person who left those very words in that journal has actually passed on. This is very sad to hear and I thought I might offer my condolences to those who new him well.
I didn't even know the guy, but the whole ordeal still brought tears to my eyes after i'd seen the kind of person he was.
